First things first, LOVE this mural in Cusco!
One of the first shops I saw in Pisaq
I really love these chess sets and I have to convince myself every time I pass one to not buy it cuz I don't play chess...
I love these shoes but my feet are a liiiittle too big!
I got in trouble for taking this picture, but
So pretty!
Ehhm, dead armadillo?
Still has some hair on him
This is a musical instrument made out of sheeps hooves, I was told.
Llamas!
I do not understand these hats...
Scary objects
Leather baseball hat, anyone?
This is one of the best 'face' tapestries I've seen! Looks like it would be super hard to make.
Sooo much fur, everywhere
Old coins, obvs
Creepy yet cool!
Gorgeous painting!
I looove the art here
The coolest knives!
So many colors, it's going to be weird going home without so much vibrancy
Gorgeous fabrics
Heh
Such a pretty church!
The orange llama sweater on the left is my favorite
Baby hats!
These hats are tiny, but you can't tell in this picture
Will this style catch on in the US?
Boys and dinosaurs must be universal
Just some llamas hanging out in a shop
They always look so annoyed...
ATTENTION: VEGETARIANS! If you're looking for a vegetarian restaurant in Pisaq, I recommend this one! Look for this sign on the corner... it's pretty close to the orange bridge, a couple blocks up the hill from the main road, a couple streets to the right of the market area.
It's called Prasada
I had their ''menu'' (daily special) with fresh homemade tomato basil soup, the most delicious Indian stir fry with pasta ever made, a slice of coconut pie with fruit (I don't know which fruit, but it was orange with black seeds), and fruit-ginger tea (also don't know the fruit used in the herbal tea, but it was deeeelicious)! This was the best meal I've had on my trip so far, and it cost 18 soles (under $7).
I love your directions to get to the resturant! we would get directions like that (obsure, based on landmarks and hard to follow) all the time in Paraguay. Dude. those pictures of the stuff at the stores are incredible! I couldn't believe my eyes at what you are seeing and experiencing. So jealous but grateful for the pictures!
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah, directions are crazy! And I've started doing it too, haha. It is amazing here, I'm trying to capture it as well as I can so that everyone can experience it too! Thanks :)
